Northern Plains Hedgehogs
We require a $50.00 non-refundable deposit to hold an available hedgehog or one from a future litter. This will be put towards the purchase price of your hedgehog. Individuals who wish to place a deposit ahead of time can do so. This will ensure you get priority over everyone else. For our deposit list, we go in the order the deposits are received. Otherwise, if the individuals on our deposit list pass on the available hedgehogs, they are available on a "first come, first serve" basis to the general public and are available to anyone who's application is approved.
Once you pay your deposit, it is non-refundable, NO Exceptions!!
If you no longer wish to wait for a hedgehog, or something happens where you can no longer get a hedgehog, you forfeit your paid deposit. If you are unsure about getting a hedgehog, do not place a deposit as it will not be refunded under any circumstances. If you should decide after you placed a deposit not to get a hedgehog at a different time, you will remain on the list. However, if a few months have gone by, you will be placed at the end of the list when you contact us again. This is also stated on our Policies page.
The reason our deposits are non-refundable are simple, once you place a deposit, your hedgehog is reserved, meaning it is not available to anyone else. So if you choose to back out on your hedgehog after it has been reserved, we lose out on other sales for that animal, not to mention the time it takes for us to get the hedgehog ready for its new home.
We do not take personal checks at all. We only accept cash upon pickup/delivery when you get your hedgehog.
Deposits will hold a hedgehog until they are 7 weeks old. Please remember you can not take your hedgehog home until it is paid for.
We require everyone to fill out our Application before placing a deposit.
We do not sell our hedgehogs to other hedgehog breeders unless you are USDA Licensed.
NP Hedgehogs is a USDA breeder trying to produce quality hedgehogs. We carefully select our breeding herd for the best temperaments possible. We handle our babies as early as the mother will allow, in order to help ensure the babies will be hand-tamed at weaning time.
